And she went after Sherlock by basically being JOHN. Blonde, bad family relationships, cane, suicidal with gun. They had chips together which he WANTED TO DO WITH JOHN KILL ME.
She went after John by seeing him when he felt unseen by Sherlock. She went after Sherlock by needing him when he felt unable to help John.
